Who we are

The core of Pixel Fire Marketing is Dan DeSive and Angela Chaney. These two marketing professionals not only have a combined 40+ years of marketing experience, but they also have a deep commitment to their community and clients. Their various specialties combine to give clients a comprehensive marketing strategy that gets results.

How It All Started

Dan DeSive had recently started his own SEO company in 2014 when he met Angela Chaney in a networking group. Angela was working for a business magazine and the two of them began referring clients to each other. Angela soon started writing blogs for Dan part-time and Dan knew he wanted her to join him in expanding his business into a full service online marketing agency.

The landscape of online marketing changes rapidly and it takes constant vigilance to stay up to date and able to harness the power of new tech. Our team understands this and spends time each day learning how to incorporate changes and use them to our clients’ best advantage.

At the heart of our philosophy is Engagement Equity. We know that helping our clients means putting them first. We learn what they need, what they want, and what equals success to them. Partner | Sales & Strategy

With more than 20+ years of experience in marketing, Dan has worked with numerous business owners in growing their businesses and bottom lines. His deep knowledge of a broad range of platforms and tools gives Pixel Fire Marketing, and our clients, a competitive edge. Dan is an active board member of the Professional Remodelers Organization. When not helping our clients, Dan spends quality time with his family including his wife, Mary, daughters, Ashley & CJ, and two doggas, Silvey and Chester. Not to mention posting pictures of his BBQ on Instagram.

Angela Chaney

Partner | Communications

Angela has been in the marketing industry since 2001. She has experience in print media, blog writing, web content, and marketing strategy. As the head of content, Angela enjoys listening to clients to capture their unique voices and translating that into powerful written pieces that achieve unique marketing objectives. In her free time, Angela enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and writing a wide array of crazy fiction for a variety of markets and genres. Expect to see her on the best seller list any day now…(a girl can always hope).​

Caitie Seaman

Account Manager | Client Services

Caitie Seaman is one of Pixel Fire’s Account Managers. She works with new clients to help them get up and running and connects with current clients to ensure their strategies, goals, and assets are up to date. Originally from Georgia, Caitie grew up in an Air Force family and was able to see the world as she moved around until the family settled in Nebraska. Though Caitie has lived here more than 20 years, she still tends to say y’all a lot. In 2016, she graduated from UNO and discovered her passion for marketing and communications. She loves connecting with people and showcasing their different marketing components and helping them see how it can take their business to the next level. One of her favorite things to hear is a client saying, “Oh yeah! I can totally do that!” Caitie has been married since October of 2020 and the couple enjoys raising their rescue pup Cici. When she isn’t at work, she enjoys watching movies, gaming, or adventuring with friends on the Dungeons & Dragons podcast she participates in.

Courtney, an Omaha native, grew up immersed in the entrepreneurial spirit, with parents who owned and operated their own business. Their experience navigating the challenges and opportunities of running a local company shaped her perspective and gives her a unique ability to resonate with the goals and bottom line behind every project or campaign she works on. This foundation allows her to approach each strategy with an insider’s understanding of what drives success for local businesses. Courtney holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and numerous certifications in digital advertising, equipping her with the tools to drive ROI and elevate brand awareness for clients across diverse industries, including home services, healthcare, IT, financial planning, and law. Outside of work, Courtney is a proud mom to twin baby boys, Quinten and Calvin, whom she raises with her husband, Schuyler. The family also includes two dachshunds, Pebbles and Pickles. Courtney often jokes, "I guess we like things in pairs," embracing her perfectly balanced family with two kids and two fur babies.

Kali Therkildson

Lead Web Designer | Web Design

Originally from Elkhorn, NE, Kali graduated from Dana College and returned to Omaha to start her career. She has been designing websites for small to medium sized businesses for the past eight years. She enjoys working with a variety of clients and projects and loves the problem-solving aspect of web design. In her free time, Kali enjoys hanging out with her family and friends and her Australian shepherd Kai. She also loves playing and coaching volleyball, traveling and exploring new places, and is a Husker volleyball and Kansas City Chiefs fan.

Kathy Byers

Marketing Specialist | Marketing

Kathy brings a wealth of creative experience to Pixel Fire as an Art Director and Designer with over 12 years in advertising for many local and national brands. She holds a degree in Advertising and is also a skilled Copywriter. After becoming a mother and discovering a passion for photography, she created a successful photography business. She says she’s found the ideal role here at Pixel as Marketing Specialist. She enjoys the diversity of integrating her creative passions—design, writing, and photography—on behalf of our clients.

Vanessa Contreras is a visual and web designer with a Master’s in Design for Product and Service Innovation and more than six years of experience. Based in Bogotá, Colombia, she focuses on creating user-centered digital interfaces that encourage engagement and maintain high design standards. She has extensive experience working with multidisciplinary teams on branding, strategic communications, responsive web design, and aligning design strategies with business goals.
